Prime Timing Sports 3 Things To Watch:

1. Can Villanova make the field?:

With the Big 3, Pena, Fisher and Stokes all gone, Maalik Wayns will have big shoes to fill. With Isiah Armwood transferring to George Washington, Maurice Sutton and Wayns will be to go to guys, along with Yarou. Villanova Coach Jay Wright always puts a solid team out on the floor, but it will be interesting to see how the Wildcats compete in the competitive Big East Conference.

2. Is Cincinnati For Real?:

After a hot start a year ago, Coach Mick Cronin’s Bearcats look to compete in the Big East this season. Cincy is returning leading scorer Yancy Gates, who is a terrific asset down low, along with Dixon and Wright, who averaged 12 PPG last season as guards. The Bearcats aren’t losing much, and may wreak havoc in the Big East.

3. The Favorite?

Connecticut is losing Kemba Walker, who has etched his name into Uconn Basketball forever. However, the Huskies return Sophmore Guard Jeremy Lamb, who is a 50% or better shooter from the backcourt, along with Point Guard Shabazz Napier who may be one of the breakout and surprising players this season, and even Forward Roscoe Smith. Those 3 players are all coming off outstanding freshman years. Not to mention Uconn’s recruiting class, which landed top prospect Andre Drummond who will make an impact right away. This Huskies team is young, and may sweep the conference away.
