  1. Dean says:

Of these five, I think the Patriots are a little high. I know they will have a lot of Hall of Famers from the last decade, but all the others have far more players who are truly among the all-time greats. Almost all of their significant success has been in the last 20 years, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Had the Raiders not disappeared for the last decade they would certainly be higher. I think you could make a case for the 49ers over the Cowboys, but since neither has been that great the last decade it sort of boils down to the previous decades and Dallas was maybe just a bit better even though they have the same number of Super Bowl wins.

I am assuming the top five are the Packers, Bears, Giants, Steelers and Cowboys, though I have not read the book.

If that is the case, then the only other teams that I think could be in the top 10, but are not, are the Dolphins and Browns, though I agree that they both fall just short.

  2. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal.
I must say you’ve done a awesome job with this. Additionally,
the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome. Superb Blog!

The Sports Then and Now Vintage Athlete of the Month is one of the most underappreciated wide receivers in NFL history, despite boasting a career that spanned 16 seasons and saw him excel as one of the league’s premier deep threats. Known for his speed, route-running, and ability to make plays downfield, Harold Jackson left an indelible mark on the game during an era that was not yet pass-heavy. Standing at 5’10” and weighing 175 pounds, he defied expectations of size to become a dominant force on the field. Over the course of his illustrious career (1968–1983), Jackson totaled 10,372 receiving yards and 76 touchdowns, placing him among the top receivers of his time.
