First of all, let me just say how disappointed I am that Adam Joshua did not invite me to his bachelor party, especially considering that Adam’s bachelor party was down in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Kind of like rubbing salt in an open wound as I sit here in Pennsylvania shoveling myself and various other people out from under a record breaking 30 plus inches of snow.

OK, enough about me and more on Adam’s wife to be Heather, who by the way is the kind of young lady that every young blooded American boy would love to bring home to mom of course it doesn’t hurt that Adam Joshua; A.J. if you will, is also cut from that same All-American boy next door fabric.

Yes that’s right, former Eagles Quarterback A.J. (Adam Joshua) Feeley and his better half soccer star (Philadelphia Independence) Heather Mitts, will exchange wedding vows today (Feb 13) in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, and officially consummate their seven year, on again off again relationship.

Mitts is a two-time Olympic Gold-medalist as a member of the United States Women’s National Team for the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics who has represented the U.S in over 100 competitive matches. She was also a member of the US team who finished second in the 2006 Algarve Cup.

Mitts is also known as much for her looks as her athletic ability. In 2001, Heather was voted by Playboy Online, as the sexiest player in the former Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA).

In 2004, ESPN’s Page 2 crowned Mitts as its Hottest Female Athlete for 2004. Heather garnered 30 percent of the more than 268,000 votes cast in the final voting of the sexiest athlete contest to edge out figure skater Jamie Salé, snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler, tennis star Anna Kournikova and softball star Jennie Finch, who was given a bye into the final round because of her status as defending champion.

Heather has also parlayed her looks into a number on television commentary jobs. She once served as a studio analyst for ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 during the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was a sideline reporter for several MLS broadcasts in 2005. In addition to soccer, she also was a sideline reporter for college football during 2005 for ESPN.

The 31-year-old Mitts was one of the first faces of the 2009 Boston Breakers after being allocated to Boston on September 16, 2008 in the Women’s Pro Soccer (WPS) Allocation of U.S. National Team Players. Heather saw playing time in 19 matches in 2009 and notched one assist against the Washington Freedom on June 24.

After playing for the Breakers last season, the U.S. National Team defender and two-time Olympic gold medalist returned to Philadelphia after signing with the 2010 WPS expansion Philadelphia Independence as a free agent.  Mitts played with the Philadelphia Charge for three seasons in the WUSA, starting all 51 games for the Charge and helped the club to the WUSA playoffs in 2001 and 2002.  She was named a WUSA All-Star in 2003.

A.J. and Heather first met back in 2002-2003 when Feeley was a backup Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and Mitts an All-star forward with the Philadelphia Charge.

A.J., who spent this past season with the Carolina Panthers, popped the question to Heather on Christmas Eve 2008 and today the two will seal the deal to make it official. Congratulations guys and best wishes.
